Little Rock Central High School never admitted a black student for three decades after it opened. However, in 1954, the Supreme Court declared educational segregation unconstitutional in Brown v. Board of Education. Nine black students subsequently enrolled at Little Rock Central High School, which marked the beginning of a series of events that contributed to the civil rights movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big Dam Bridge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
